It is Monday. Last week was Senses this week is Seasons. Did you know that when you are in Pre-School in India there are FIVE seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall and Monsoon. We will be covering all five just like the five senses last week.
We entered this week rested. Usually we just have Saturday to really rest. We listen to a sermon, play cars, eat coffee cake, pancakes, leftovers, go to a park, play with Papa and sometimes we never ever leave the house. This weekend however we headed for a hotel before the tourist season starts and got a very nice room for the cheap pre-tourist rate. YES!
Swimming, controlled temperature, chasing peacocks around the garden, watching men in the distance at a shooting range, rescuing large beetles from the pool, playing for hours in the bath (my kids were enamored, last year I got a toilet for my birthday maybe this year I'll ask for a tub) and watching Animal Planet in Hindi (for my kids with no TV at home their one show of African Serengeti was enough to last them for a couple of weeks supplying numerous conversation starters) Abe was showing off his knowledge today by labeling the lion in our reading story as a male due to his mane.
I enjoy resting and honestly the TV show felt like some worship movie spotlighting our God's amazing creation. What a Mighty Amazing Creator we worship.
This morning, back home with no electricity, after our usual rigamarole the azaan belted through our windows. Zana jumped a few feet in the air. "Whaz dat mommy? Whaz dat?" she raced for my arms. I simply had forgotten that not only was our hotel climate controlled but also noise controlled. How nice, how quiet, how easy to forget why I am here and to pray. It is nice to come home and realize that biting ants and all it is our home. So we are home rested, refreshed and ready for a new week. Hope you had a great weekend too.

What a great idea to go to a hotel for the night...and have a nice Sabbath together. Your place is noisy...like when I came over last time and there was constant preaching. Good to give the senses a rest...and the heart. Love you. leaf
