Crocodiles, Alligator and a Deer

Yesterday for our day off we went to the mini zoo outside of our city.  We went in the struggling sun and arrived in heavy rain.  Glorious spring-ish rain with a cold zip to it.  The torrential heavenly pour cut down on tourists and we almost had the mini zoo to ourselves.  The "Bird House" (literal translation of how to say Zoo in Urdu) was great fun.  There was two crocodiles looking evil, one alligator looking bored, and one deer.  Thankfully all were not housed together, though the one deer used to have many friends and the crocodiles looked well fed.

I had a bit of a blast taking photos of my kids playing in the shadow of where Buddha preached his first sermon.  The plastic bags (aren't I a great mom....creativity over planning means plastic bags for raincoats!) were free and the entrance for the zoo was about 50 cents altogether.  All in all fun was had.
