Cushioned Mailer

Sunny side up.  Bling. Choice Delights. Warm cookies. Butterfly Kisses. Those with small children or who need assistance may board now.

All these lines I love.  Some because I know what follows, some because I love the cadence, some because I associate the words with a person or a memory.  These are just a few of my favorite lines.  Shakespeare holds a good dozen along with other favorite authors.

However my most recent favorite written line or word in English is  "Cushioned Mailer."

Two packages have arrived in recent days.  Two packages I honestly must say that were intended for my family but I took them as solely for me.  How can I do that you might ask well because I am the mommy and in both of them was something special for me. (in one was a wrapped present for everyone in the family but I am pretty sure the entire package was addressed to ME!!!)

In both of them was an apron.  Hmmm do you think these lovely ladies are suggesting something?  Hinting at something?  It doesn't matter.  I have used both almost everyday since they arrived.  Of course one of them was made in India (irony) and the other was made by hand.  The one made by hand is a Mary Poppins Apron.  Yep it has a name.  MP Apron.  Very British if you ask me.  The reason is that the apron seems to repel stains.  I do not know how it works but it is some miraculous cloth.  I have yet to wash the apron and as it does not ALWAYS resist dirt it is looking a little "not so new" but I don't have the heart to wash it.  As soon as you wash something in India it looks different.  The shine goes, the glow is washed to pieces, it is no longer quite right.  You might think it is my washing skills or lack there of but the blame is not to be put into my backyard (I don't have one so don't try) it truly is the water.

Well just so you know I loved the packages and didn't open one for a whole day and instead just let it sit where I could see it and delight in the thought of opening it.  What a gift.  Just for me (and my family).
