Chapter instead of the usual verse......

Here is my day.  It was a day to go down in history.

Morning came.
Abe awoke.
Zana awoke.
Mommy got up.
I drank two cups of coffee.
Hubster and I packed the kids on and prayer walked.
Almost hit by someone throwing down a cloth diaper full of poop.
Gross. Normal. Still Sane.
Mixed up in a pack of dogs attacking each other.
Got home.
Zero people expected to visit.
Had SEVEN phone calls in English (usually don't have any with foreign community a little too much for me)
Played with three different nativity sets and one cute two year old.
Did four loads of laundry.
Made Cupcakes.  Ate a few.  Oh well.
Made lunch.  Read books to the kids.
Yelled at the kids.
Zero people expected to visit.
Put Zana down for nap.
Read to Abe.  Got frustrated that they do not nap at the same time.
Language Torturer Came.
Zana woke up.
Language Over.
Zero people expected to visit.
Played with kids.
Hubster called and.....
Friends were coming to visit.  Five or six of them and because they were calling ahead of time that meant I need to pull out the stops and have a few dishes to serve!  At least four different plates and sweet dishes.  They were coming in twenty minutes and Zana and Abe needed to be changed.  Started chai and brought the laundry rack in, did a sweep of the living room of trains, cars and assorted items.  Changed both diapers but was surprised by a special gift in Zana's diaper.  Heard running water ran out to see if someone was dumping water down into our house (possible) and found the chai bubbling over onto the counter, gushing to the floor, through the tiny kitchen and down the drain!  Burnt.
Chaos.
12 people came instead of six.  Six lovely ladies came with a 1 and a half year old, a three year old, a four year old, a six year old, a seven year old, and a 10 year old.  I did not serve the pomegranate since I did not want red rubbed into the carpet but I still had one accident in the living room and oreos on my cushions.  We all went out to see the poles pass by (decorated poles that are sometimes stories high) the men swung a pole up to our veranda full of fifteen people and took out several electrical wires.  Balloons which decorated the poles were popping wildly and then it was swinging down upon us and we were all ducking, shrieking, and laughing nervously.  Down in the gully the men laughed and beat on drums and danced around waving field hockey sticks and swords in the air.
I served the cupcakes, three different biscuits, assorted sweetmeats and numkeen.  My chai tasted terrible but the conversation was sweet. They left someone else came.  They left and now the noise  crescendo is ongoing outdoors.
Needless to say it has been a crazy day and it is not over yet!  If you made it this far reading kudoos to you!  Thank you for reading.

Life message out of day is.....

don't leave chai unattended on the stove!
