"Packing...."

All my kids play right now is "packing."

Though they state emphatically that they do not want to leave India they are chuffed to fly.  Who can blame them.  Abe wasn't even 6 weeks old before he flew.  Zana flew internationally before she was 8 weeks old.  Abe had a birthday on a plane.

Maybe nobody else will be thrilled to see two little rolly polly pre-schoolers boarding but those two will be sure chuffed to be seat ticket holders.

Here are my top five survival tactics.

1.  Stickers.
2. Snacks.
3. Shows.
4. Small gifts which constitute of old toys wrapped up.
5. Short trips to the bathroom where I let them touch everything and then wipe them down with disinfectant.

Of course I would really like to suggest to airlines that an on flight baby sitting option would be golden.  Or seats for small children in the cargo hold where they could run around would be another grand idea.  Or special headphones that block sound for anyone sitting on a plane with small children (even for their parents) would be a fabulous idea.  But really those won't fly, so I am stuck with the old faithful five in hopes to fly fantastically.

Perhaps I will use these five ideas and flesh them out in all their glory over the next few days.  Really though the one bestest thing I can do is treate the trip like a Grand. Journey.  or a Magical. Adventure.  Somehow my delightful duo catch a vision for better air travel and instead of a metal tube hurtling through the air where we are trapped for 16 hours to be spit out on American soil where they make us stand in line for  2 PLUS hours the trip becomes a wild chariot ride across continents.  I am going for the chariot ride but that is still to be determined.
