Like Father, like Daughter

Zana likes to read.  So do I.  So does her dad.  However her dad likes to read parts of lots and lots of books while I tend to be a cover to cover lady married to the page till the book has run its course.  I feel ashamed of this character flaw but try to cover it up by reading only books strongly recommended by people I trust or books by authors I trust.  Just like I sit in the same place in church, or tend to order the same thing at certain restaurants, or wear the same kameez till I should really throw it out I am a bit predictable, except when I'm not.  Predictably unpredictable.

Zana likes to read parts of books or fly through a book, dump it, and turn to the next book.  This requires the hard work of emptying the book shelf.  Not once, not twice but sometimes many more times throughout the day.  If she was just emptying shelves I think I might go mad but she truly is reading or looking at each book or at least part of each book.  The bigger the pile the better.  The more books the better.... just like her dad!

Here is a little peek into Zana the Reader.

Richard Scarry, Jan Brett, Shirley Hughes, and Clifford.
She likes a broad selection.

She made these piles herself.  Left unread.  Right read.

She even drags out her board books often.
She has impeccable taste.

When reading is done she crashes.
