From 2 to 15......

How do you incorporate teenagers and toddlers in a Christmas pageant with limited children?

It proves to be interesting, fun and a little wacky.  Mary was blowing bubbles while holding baby Jesus who at least was not in the usual pink tutu.  Joseph refused to sit anywhere near Mary and when the Wise Men bowed down to worship she kicked one of them in the head.  I don't think anyone noticed.  I hope.  Abe was the only male angel after refusing to be a shepherd with the older boys all of whom towered over him.  He sang with zest.  And volume.

Zana, after talking up her part and learning all the words to "Angels We Have Heard on High", refused to appear on stage for more than 5 seconds.  Here are a few photos of our little group of performers and my kid's sweet, precious friend Elle (the hippy, happy darling girl).

Notice the vast size difference!
Abe is standing next to a towering shepherd whose head is cut off.

Abe waiting patiently to pop out and sing "Gloria"
