Sick....sick......sick

Zana has a UTI (urinary tract infection).  It is so bad that most antibiotics cannot fight against it's strain.  An Aussie doctor whose care, concern, and thorough medical advice revealed her servant and generous heart told us the strain reveals much about where we live.  Bacteria bullies with more strength, newer stronger strains that resist medicine causing us to resort to stronger medicine.  Zana is taking medicine only given through an IV in most western nations.  Her's come in pediatric form here in India.

Abe has a flu strain of some kind and battles his fever, cough and runny nose by listening to books, sipping water and being a tad bit whiny.

He still wanted to do school today so we learned about five, reviewed seasons, and read books with the letter D in the title because we also practiced writing D today.  We even sang a song and glued buttons on a craft.  It was pretty low key due to the sickness factor.  As we enter the weekend I plan to lie low with my kids and take a nap on Saturday.

Here is a photo from two years ago this week.  Somehow he has gotten cuter.  Who would have thought!  This was the week of his first shower ever (we had bathed him).  He is about three months old.  He had already traveled in an airplane, had his own passport and had traveled internationally.  What a rich life my children lead.  They even have rare bacterias!  Lovely really.
