Communication

"Mommy 'iz-AR-d"

"Yes, I saw the lizard.  It is hiding behind mommy's painting now."

"Mommy, 'iss-ard."

"I saw it.  Does a lizard have four legs or two legs?"

"'Or."

"Do you have four legs or two legs?"

Up goes one leg covered by her little blankie, up pops the other, "Two." she chirps.

Sometimes after a week in a second language and meals, and bedtimes with two toddlers I wonder why I struggle to come up with adult like questions.  Sometimes I just want to sit and ask a friend, "So what is your favorite color?"  "What animal do you like best?"

Glad for this conversational season!  Praying that I will continue to seek my children's hearts.
