After the snafu on my computer I am now on Hubster's computer. Chaos is sounding off in the background and I feel boat loads of pity so I will keep this "free time" short.
When the temps dip everything from the sniffles to headaches, backaches, tummy aches and just plain tiredness is blamed on the weather. I see it. I feel it. When the cold wind blows my throat hurts too, my skin gets drier than a lizard's and there is something unhealthy about the cold that descends when the sun goes down at night. However I do not think that cold can be blamed for Abe's close friend's malady.
Naj is swollen. Swollen hands, puffy face, swollen up so that his little eyes are simply slits. When I talked to his mom about he symptoms she assured me that of course they had been to the doctor. The best doctors in our city, in fact, had been visited. These doctors, per excellence, had told Naj's parents that it was simply the weather and a lack of protein causing the massive swelling all over his body. The weather? Lack of protein?
Trusting internet was consulted and I cannot find anything that causes swelling except horrible diseases that do not bode well. Nothing about the weather. Till more is revealed Abe won't be having his daily play dates with Naj which makes the days longer and more lonely around here!
