It was months ago that I was walking with Abe through the graveyard (our local equivalent of a park for young ones to play in.... imagine cricket, hopscotch and just running) and I felt a creepy crawly meandering down my back. Now I had sleeping Zana packed onto my chest and Abe's hand held tight (we had had a mongoose sighting and he was still processing a new animal) so I refrained from screaming. I did pray, "Lord, please let it NOT bite me."
I jiggled a little without awakening curiosity in Abe and felt it stop. When I got home I realized all it had been was sweat. The hot season was on the way. Well the heat is here, full on now, though it will get hotter. Just recently as I was squatting in the bathroom (we don't have western toilets) I felt a creepy crawly on my arm. Even the back of hands sweat I guess...... nope..... it was a spider!!
yuck.
no baby buckled in.
no nervous toddler hanging on.
I screamed!
Sometimes sweat is better.
